A Toothless Wonder

Hunter reached a milestone of his own this past weekend. He lost his first tooth! Rick was brushing his teeth and suddenly realized there was a big hole on the bottom. We are not sure where his first tooth has gone...I'm afraid it probably went down with his supper that night. :{ Anyway, it was a big event that caused us to once again realize that our little Hunter is growing up. And just when we thought he was done with holes in his head, now we are starting all over...at least these holes are meant to be there. We love you, Hunter..."our toothless wonder"!!

On the Market

We are spending our Saturday preparing for our first open house. The sign went in the yard about a month ago and so far we haven't had an offer. We have some supposedly serious prospects, but nothing has come of it yet. So...we are cleaning our house once again and leaving it in God's hands knowing his timing is best. For those of you who do not know, we are moving to the Appleton area to be closer to a school for Hunter next year. God has provided a unique opportunity for Hunter and we are more than willing to make a move to take advantage of it. This is definitely a tough time to be selling a house, but we know that God can do what seems impossible. We will let you know when it happens. For now we will just clean and pray. P.S. - Those two in the picture DO NOT come with the house! :)

Growing Up

Hudson has reached some big milestones recently. He is walking EVERYWHERE now. He took his first steps just before turning ten months old, but with MAma's prompting last week he decided to take up walking on a full time basis. MAma also convinced me to take him in for his first haircut. I tried to make it until he turned one, but she was right. He was looking pretty shaggy all over with a mullet in the making. So we went to the family hair stylist who we have known for ten years now. She was so excited to get the chance to style the youngest member of the Weigt family. He did great! He held tight to her comb and didn't make a peep the whole time. There was definitely a look of satisfaction on his face when he looked in the mirror after she was done. As for me...I saw a mighty handsome little boy who is starting to look less and less like my baby...ahhhhhh they grow way too fast!!

A Visit from Grandma

Spring has finally arrived in Wisconsin and with the arrival of Spring came also a visit from Grandma...or MAma as we know her. We had such a nice visit with her and as always it went way too fast! We enjoyed playing outside together the last couple days of her visit.

I know we definitely wore her out and better yet, we sent her home with a sprained ankle. MAma hurt herself playing basketball in the driveway..."sorry, Mama...we'll try to take it easy on you next time. :)" Anyway, times like these are what make great memories for life. It doesn't take a lavish vacation or a week full of activities. Just playing games and spending time together with Grandma made for a week full of fun and memories...and MAma, as we came home and entered the playroom with no MAma to play with, Kayla fell apart crying for you and even little Zips shed some tears. You can come back any time now!!!

Spreading the Word...about Autism

Even though Hunter does not have a bonifide case of autism, he does have autistic tendencies and because he too is "different" and "special", we too understand what it is like to go down the lonely road of parenting a "special needs" child. Too often we do not want to take the time to understand and support those raising children that are "differently abled". However, Jesus never discriminated against any child who was different when He commanded, "Suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not". He did not say only "normal" children or only "healthy" children. He has a purpose for each and every one. May we take up the challenge and use this month to find ways to understand and support those raising
these special children living with autism.

Easter 2008

Even though it hardly felt like Easter here in Wisconsin, we still enjoyed a special day set aside to remember the Resurrection of our Lord. We had a quiet afternoon shared with our good friend, Shelly Hawkins. We thank God for sending His only Son not only to die for us, but to conquer death and offer us ETERNAL LIFE!! The pictures included are just a few snapshots of our day...A Day to Remember HIM!!

SURVIVING CABIN FEVER

The Weigthouse is SO ready for spring! After last week, we are especially ready. In one week both strep throat and the stomach flu went through the house. (obviously that is the reason for no recent posts...you wouldn't have wanted to see pictures of us last week! :) Anyway, we do not usually allow such mayhem in the house, but as stir crazy as we are getting, something had to be done to let out the energy of three young children. So a couple of weeks ago, we had circus day at our house. And...this is what we got! Just as I was writing this, Kayla came in and said,"that day was so much fun!" What can I say? I guess our kids our easily entertained! :)
